MN Winter Engagement // Lake Harriet Engagement
Shooting an engagement session in any season can be special. As we’re booking the session I’m always thinking how excited the couples I work with must be. With the wedding planning just underway, the engagement session is usually the first concrete thing you as a couple will do together after the proposal. The pictures are typically used for Save-the-dates and suddenly things start to materialize, vendors are chosen and everything becomes real. Choosing the season and locale for the engagement session is something into which I think a lot of brides put a good deal of thought and consideration. There’s never any right or wrong time to capture engagement photos – I just try to capture something meaningful for the couples I work with, while also emphasizing the beauty of the location and the season. Here’s one such Lake Harriet engagement, right atop the snow swept ice on a frosty January day.
